What is Betapsi?
Betapsi pronounced bee-tah-sigh is the student organization that represents all psychology students in Malta We are run by students for students and our main goal is to ensure that the rights and interests of psychology students are protected while acting as a link between students and the psychology department

Meet The Admin Team

Our admin team keeps Betapsi organised and running smoothly. Made up of the president, vice president, secretary general, finance officer, and public relations officer, this team helps with daily operations, communication, and logistics that support the entire organisation. They make sure everything stays on track while keeping the bigger picture in mind. Together with the rest of the team, they help turn ideas into action.

Betapsi President
The Betapsi President is one of the key leaders of the organization, working alongside the Vice President to oversee all aspects of the group. With a strong sense of direction and a clear vision for the future, the President helps coordinate the executive team, ensures goals are met, and represents Betapsi both internally and externally. The President plays a critical role in guiding the team and supporting members while working collaboratively to lead the organization.

Vice President
Natalia Nwoko
The Betapsi Vice President works hand in hand with the President to co-lead the organization and support the executive team. Tasks and responsibilities are shared, making the Vice President an essential part of decision-making, planning, and group leadership. Whether it’s stepping in to represent the group, assisting with operations, or working closely with members, the Vice President ensures Betapsi runs smoothly and helps shape the experience for everyone involved.

Secretary General
Maia Borg
It is the duty of the Secretary General to guarantee effective communication from Betapsi to its esteemed members. This includes creating forms and the BetaPsi newsletter, monitoring emails for timely responses, and organizing meetings by managing the calendar.

Finance Officer
Ernest Sultana
The Finance Officer is responsible for managing the organization’s funds and ensuring everything stays on track financially. This role involves keeping accurate records, handling payments, and making sure funds are used responsibly. A critical part of the job is also working to secure sponsors and funding opportunities to support Betapsi’s events and projects.

Public Relations Officer
Aaliyah Ohaegbu
The Public Relations Officer is in charge of shaping and maintaining Betapsi’s public image. This role focuses on creating all designs, visuals, and promotional materials related to Betapsi, ensuring the organization looks professional, engaging, and consistent across platforms. Whether it’s graphics for social media, posters for events, or branded materials, the PR Officer brings the creative vision to life.

Our executive team is made up of all the students who dedicate their time, energy, and creativity to Betapsi. From organising events and campaigns to managing collaborations and representing psychology students, every person plays a vital role. We believe leadership is shared and every contribution matters. It is through this teamwork that Betapsi continues to grow and make an impact.

Educational Officer
Estella Camilleri
Our Educational Officer leads the way when it comes to creating spaces for learning, growth, and awareness within Betapsi. From workshops and talks to ongoing awareness initiatives, this role helps bring educational opportunities to our members and the wider student community. They also organise our annual Therapy & Wellness Campaign, a DegreePlus recognised initiative focused on promoting mental health and wellbeing.

External Relations Officer
Ann Marie Briffa
Our External Relations Officer is all about building connections. By collaborating with organizations, partners, and the wider community, they help create new opportunities for learning, growth, and exciting projects. They also lead Betapsi’s involvement in major events like NSTF and Science in the City, bringing psychology to life beyond the classroom.

Student Affairs Officer
Francesca Anastasi
The Student Affairs Officer acts as the connection between Betapsi, psychology students, and the department. They help organise university tours, info sessions, and initiatives that support students throughout their time at university. This includes assisting with Erasmus-related events, awareness campaigns, and opportunities for prospective psychology students. Their work ensures students feel informed, supported, and engaged within both Betapsi and the wider academic community.

Leisure Officer
Georgette Mifsud
The Leisure Officer is the mastermind behind all the fun, bringing the energy and excitement to Betapsi! From planning unforgettable parties to organizing engaging events, they’re the creative force that keeps the good vibes flowing.
Whether it’s a themed social, a chill gathering, or a lively party, the Leisure Officer makes sure there’s always something fun to look forward to.

International Officer
Lu Kedrová
Our International Relations Officer connects psychology students with global opportunities and experiences. They organise Betapsi’s annual international trip and help students find internships, exchanges, and study opportunities abroad. By building partnerships and promoting cross-cultural experiences, they help psychology students broaden their horizons and develop an international perspective in the field.

EFPSA MR
Kristina Chircop
The MR connects Betapsi and Maltese psychology students to the European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations (EFPSA), a network representing psychology students across Europe. The MR promotes EFPSA events and opportunities locally, represents Malta on a European level, and ensures students have access to international exchanges and experiences. They also help organise the annual Betapsi Student Exchange, attend EFPSA Congress and meetings, and keep Betapsi updated on everything happening within EFPSA.

EFPSA Vice MR
Ashley Formosa
The Vice President works alongside the President to co-lead Betapsi, sharing responsibility for guiding the organization and supporting the executive team. The Vice helps oversee operations, ensures tasks run smoothly, and steps in to lead when needed. This role plays a key part in planning, decision-making, and keeping Betapsi moving forward.

Social Policy Commisioner
Julia Bonanno
The Social Policy Commissioner represents Betapsi in conversations that influence real change. They bring psychology into the spotlight by raising awareness, contributing to debates, and producing policy papers that reflect the student perspective. Through their work, psychology students have a say in shaping how society approaches mental health, wellbeing, and social issues that impact us all.

Departmental Affairs Officer
Marlena Abela
The Departmental Affairs Officer maintains communication between Betapsi, psychology students, and the Department of Psychology. They follow up on student concerns and produce the Departmental Newsletter to keep lecturers informed about Betapsi’s events and initiatives, helping bridge the gap between students and faculty.
